Listings
Yes! If a listing is available to claim, you’ll see a Claim Listing button on its page. To proceed, you’ll need to have a Business Account.
Already have a Customer Account? No problem! You can easily switch to a Business Account by heading over to your Account Details in the Dashboard. It’s quick and straightforward!
Once your verification process is accessed and approved, you’ll gain control of the listing to update details as needed.
It’s simple! Click on the “Add Listing” button at the top of the page, choose a listing type and package, fill in your details, and submit. Our team will review your submission to ensure it meets our guidelines before publishing.
You have two options to get your listing verified:
- Create a Verified Listing: Choose the Verified Owner package when creating your listing. Make sure to provide the required verification information at the bottom of the listing form.
- Claim an Existing Listing: If the listing already exists, simply click the Claim Listing button and submit the necessary verification details through the claim form.
Once your information is reviewed and approved, your listing will be marked as verified.
When you create an owner verified listing or claim ownership of an existing listing you will be able to provide information in order for us to verify your connection with the listing.
Verification helps ensure your information is trustworthy and gives you access to additional features.
In order to add a listing your account needs to be a business account.
To convert your account goto your user dashboard and click the account details tab. Here you will find a section to convert your account.
If you signed up with a Facebook or Google login your account will be created as customer account by default.
If a listing is already verified, it means it’s been claimed by someone else. If you believe this is an error or need further assistance, please contact us to raise an enquiry. Our team will reach out to the current owner to investigate and help resolve the issue.
When you create a listing, it’s important to select a package that includes verification.
If you’ve submitted a listing without choosing a verification-enabled package, you won’t see the “Claim Listing” option — this is because you’re already listed as the author, and the system assumes you’re entering the details as a non-verified party.
If you selected the wrong option by mistake and would like your listing to be verified, just get in touch with us. We’re happy to help you update it and get verified.
If your Spotify playlist isn’t appearing on your listing, it’s likely because the wrong type of link was used.
You need to use the embed link, not the regular Spotify URL.
Most issues occur when users paste a standard Spotify playlist or artist profile link (like https://open.spotify.com/playlist/abc123).
Spotify only supports embedding when you use the special URL found inside their Embed code.
How to get the correct Spotify embed link:
- Go to your playlist on Spotify.
- Click the three dots (
...) next to the playlist title. - Hover over “Share”, then click “Embed”.
- Check the show code box to show the embed code as below.

- Copy the url inside the src attribute as highligted above.
- Paste that link into the Spotify Playlist URL field in the listing form.
If you’ve pasted a regular playlist or artist link, just update it with the correct embed URL and it should display properly.
To verify your relationship with a listing, you can submit up to three document images that clearly demonstrate your connection. You’re welcome to redact any sensitive information, as long as the documents clearly establish your association.
Acceptable documents include:
- Event Contracts or Booking Confirmations showing your band, artist, or venue details.
- Performance Agreements with your name or contact details.
- Utility Bills or Lease Agreements for venue owners, displaying the venue name and address.
- Admin Dashboard Screenshots from social media accounts, event platforms, or ticketing sites confirming ownership or management access.
- Press Coverage or Event Listings linking you to the venue or artist.
- Band or Artist Management Contracts for representatives or managers.
These documents help ensure the authenticity of your claim while keeping your personal information secure.
Promotions & Advertising
In the beta phase of Riff Maps there will be no promotional features available, this is whilst we continue to populate the directory and build awareness of our existence.
Eventually we plan to offer promotional packages that include featured spots on our website and social media shoutouts.
